SHARE YOUR ACTS 1:8 STORY:

The Kingdom Advancement Commission is collecting video stories of God moving & the kingdom advancing around the world through local churches reaching their Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, & the ends of the earth. Do you or someone in your ministry have a story that needs to be shared with the global Church?

PURPOSE:

• Inspire the church to advance the kingdom of God

• Celebrate how God is moving

• Invite the church to think creatively in how to reach others with the Gospel, disciple new believers, or engage in mission.

PARAMETERS:

Filming parameters are requested in order to create consistency across continents as we are trying to share the stories of how God is moving.

• Filming on a modern phone is great

• Horizontal (landscape) orientation filming

• Highest quality possible (above 1080p required for filing & upload)

• Indoors preferable but near a window or door that has natural light (inside helps shelter from wind if not using audio recording devices that help mitigate background noise)

• Camera set on a stand to hold it in a fixed position or have someone record who can hold the camera steady and not cover the microphone.

• Please keep stories brief (less than 5 minutes for total video time). We may take additional editing liberties to cut the video length down if needed.

• Stories can be filmed in the heart language of the person giving the testimony, there is no need to speak in English

• Speakers understand that we may subtitle their words in English or another language. Voiceover translation technology may be used to bring clarity, depending on how the video is used.

• For stories that take place with sensitive information, please do not give verbal details (names of places or people) that would jeopardize a person’s or church’s safety or security. We are able to black out faces or alter voices if requested. Pseudonyms are recommended as well in these instances.

• Submissions of videos give consent to the Kingdom Advancement Commission to use their story & likeness in materials that serve the entire denomination across the globe. Accompanying images or B-roll may be submitted, but also may be added at the discretion of the video editor for Kingdom Advancement.

HOW TO SUBMIT VIDEO STORIES:

Submissions can take place by emailing a link or the video to KingdomComm@globalmethodist.org. Please include your name, your local church & annual conference name, the country you are emailing from, & the language you are using in the video.
